The IEPD is calculated internally based on the initial contract schedule. The time taken for all production related processes are factored in and the date is arrived at by adding 30 days to the last final draft delivery date as per the contract.

The Projects team sets a tentative publishing date based on the track history and current status of the project, the chapter submissions trend, and any other external factors that could impact the project like, version releases, tech announcements at conferences, etc. For any clarification, please reach out to your Project Manager.

The revenue figures are an estimation and do not include all channels or returns. Further, the title performance report is updated as per data received on the Friday before. This date can also be found in the header of the report.

The ‘Other’ row listed in the ‘Title Performance Report’ contains a variety of channels with infrequent reporting. The following channels are included:

  • O’Reilly Learning
  • Humble Bundle
  • Trade
  • Translation Rights
  • Stack Commerce
  • Perlego

There are many additional other channels included but Amazon and Direct represent the primary sales channels.

With this in mind, we welcome feedback about the report and service and would urge authors to complete this survey.
