Q: How did you become an author for Packt? Tell us about your journey. What was your motivation for writing this book?
Mona: I presented my talk at AWS Re:Invent 2020 on Intelligent document processing using AWS AI services . I have been publishing multiple AI/ML Blogs on interesting use cases around Amazon Textract, Amazon Comprehend and Amazon A2I. I have also published a research paper which got awarded from AAAI and published on Amazon Science. Packt team reached out to me for writing a book and its my passion to provide solutions to challenging problems using AWS AI/ML. I reached out to my co author of several AWS AI/ML blogs and discussed this opportunity with him. We both agreed to write a book on NLP as there was not many resources available to help customers across various verticals. We both have been extremely grateful for this opportunity and our passion is to provide solutions using this book. We want every organization to use AI/ML with no ML background or infrastructure experience.
Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?
Mona: Researched online for any book guiding customers on using NLP with AWS AI services
Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?
Mona: Challenge was writing itself. I started building out architectures first and then code around it. Then final writing used to happen. Another challenge was finding datasets.
Q: What’s your take on the technologies discussed in the book? Where do you see these technologies heading in the future?
Mona: Its a serverless AI/ML technology and I see lot of stratups or big enterprises using these AI services to quickly get started on their complex use cases. soon.
Q: Why should readers choose this book over others already on the market? How would you differentiate your book from its competition?
Mona: There is no other book in market talking about how you can solve business problems by just using AWS AI services and with no ML experience needed.
Q. What are the key takeaways you want readers to come away from the book with?
Mona: Using AWS AI services, complex business problems can be solved without any prior ML experience.

Mona: Keep learning and re:inventing.

Mona: Writing has been my passion so far. Its my motive to bring the latest solution out for customers and developers to solve their specific business problems. I enjoyed my weekends writing.
